Introduction
Levetiracetam is used to treat certain types of seizures in people with epilepsy, including partial onset seizures, myoclonic seizures, and tonic-clonic seizures. Levetiracetam is also used with other seizure medications to treat tonic-clonic seizures in people who are at least 6 years old, and myoclonic seizures in people at least 12 years old. Levetiracetam injection is for use only in people who are at least 16 years old. Levetiracetam may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
